FAQ's

REFERRAL SUBMISSION

1. How do I share a job on my Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn Page?

Locate a Job in LaunchPad and click the title or the double arrows to navigate to the position description. If you wish to share your personal referral link for the job on social media, click the media icon you wish to post to. You will be required to login to your account.

2. How does the referral submit their resume?

The referral will be sent an email with a custom link generated by the referral system that is unique to you. The referral must submit their resume using the custom link for you to receive credit for the referral and be eligible for the program.

3. How can I submit my referral’s resume?

Unfortunately, you cannot. The referred candidate has to submit their resume themselves. When your referral clicks on your unique referral link to apply, they will be taken to BrassRing to complete the application process and will submit a resume at that time.

4. Do I have to refer someone to a specific job or can I make a general referral and have them search themselves?

Yes, you do have to refer someone to a specific job to begin the process. Once your referral receives the LaunchPad email and uses your unique referral link to apply to the selected job, at that point the referral is tied to you. They can now search the portal for additional positions of interest and apply as desired. You will receive credit if your referral is hired into any eligible position within 12 months of your referral submission.

  • Alternatively, you could ask your referral to search the external careers site and send you the six-digit Job ID for any jobs of interest, and you can refer them to the specific job in LaunchPad.
  • Don’t want to reach out to your referral, use the Talent Vector link on the main landing page of LaunchPad. Temporarily upload a resume or any career-related document into Talent Vector to receive recommended job openings based on skills.

5. Is there a limit to the number of referrals that I can submit?

Submit as many referrals as you'd like - there is no limit.

6. If my referral needs to update their resume, do I need to submit another referral?

No, once a resume has been submitted by a candidate, using the specific referral  e-mail you sent, the candidate may update their resume at any time by accessing their account on the external Lockheed Martin Careers website: http://www.lockheedmartin.com/careers and providing an updated resume.

7. How long does my referral submission remain active?

Lockheed Martin’s LaunchPad Program allows eligible referrals to remain active for 12 months. If a referred candidate has not been hired within 12 months of the submission date, the referral form will expire.

Please note that for now, employees will not receive an email notification that the referral submission has expired, employees can monitor the status of their referrals by navigating to the My Referrals page. Employees may renew their referral by resubmitting the referred candidate again.

8. I have a referral for a college, intern or co-op position but I see it's not part of the LaunchPad program? Can I still refer them?

Yes! Although early career roles are not currently included in the rewards program, we value all referrals. Utilizing LaunchPad to make these referrals helps to improve the referring experience at Lockheed Martin and provides an automated process for tracking and managing the status of referrals with system-automated emails to the Employees and Candidates, as well as a My Referrals Dashboard on the site that shows real-time status of every referral made.
